Our Mission is to provide, track or introduce the best on and off line learning opportunities for accountancy and business professionals, while sharing our knowledge by providing consultancy, development, deployment and hosting services to others in the online learning space as well as introducing our customers to other opportunities of interest and relevance to them.

Background

The idea to establish cpdwise.com came from its founder, Diarmuid O’Donovan's, belief in the necessity to partake in Life Long Learning in a formal manner to stay up to date and to maintain the professional competencies and skills that are necessary to prosper in an ever changing business/professional environment.

We recognize that this opinion is not unique, but one which has been embraced by numerous professional bodies. Most professional bodies now require their members to undertake at least a minimum amount of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) to keep their status as a member in good standing. For accountants, 22 hours of formal/structured CPD and 18 hours of unstructured CPD per year is not unusual. Most professional bodies allow flexibility in the types of learning that constitute structured/unstructured CPD. Many bodies also offer some CPD learning opportunities themselves but most people's learning needs will not be totally met by their professional bodies and need to be supplemented by learning from other sources.

e-Learning is widely accepted by professional bodies as formal CPD.

CEO: Diarmuid O'Donovan FCCA

Diarmuid is a fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). He served on the International Assembly of ACCA between 2002 and 2008.

His core competencies are:

e-Learning: e-Learning content development, consulting, delivery and deployment.

International Financing Institutions: Practical experience of IFI Procurement Procedures, projects, contracts and organizations - including programs funded by the European Commission, World Bank and EBRD.

Business / Accountancy: Preparation of Feasibility Studies and Funding Proposals; Project Management and Reporting; Ability to develop and carry through with a strategic vision.

General: Preparation of ad-hoc reports, presentations and the organization of events.

Lecturing: Lecturing ACCA paper P3 Business Analysis. Paper P3 is the strategic management paper for ACCA professional exams.
